We’ve been busy setting up meetings and discussing plans with some of the coolest couples we’ve worked with so far. We’re meeting couples for the first time and lots of exciting weddings to look forward to this year.

Now we just have to get some nice weather and we’re set!

We’ll be at Double Tree Lancaster’s Wedding Showcase on March 3 @ 2pm, then later in March we’ll be DJ’ing Odyssey of the Mind’s local competition at Millersville University. This will be the second year we do the Wedding Showcase + the Odyssey of the Mind event. Great to have repeat opportunities to work with great organizations.

Our first wedding of the season will be in April at the beautiful Iron Stone Ranch in E-Town. This will be the second gig for Mike and Eric at Iron Stone – the first time was for the Garber Wedding last summer. This is a great place and we can’t wait to be out there this spring!

So as our wedding season gets underway, expect more posts from our ProVolve team.

Just a little note, for cocktail hour, the food included mini Cheese Steaks as well as French Fries. After all, we were in Philly!!! They were so yummy!

Also, Mike snapped the following pics. Our DJ table was right next to windows that looked out toward parking spots. He took this as a car was backing in, hence the red lights.

So we’ve been busy with major life events – and we still managed to work nearly 50 events in 2012!

We’re super excited for everything 2013 will bring us!

On June 22nd, we DJ’ed a beautiful, fun and at times out-of-control wedding! The Rieth wedding goes down as one of our favorites since we’ve been DJ’ing. Big shout out to Will & Kate Rieth – you guys were awesome and your guests were fantastic!

Then this past weekend, Mike and I DJ’ed for Mr. and Mrs. Greenawalt at the Colonial Golf Club in Harrisburg. We had such a blast that we didn’t take photos. But we guarantee it was awesome. Haha. And incredibly hot. 

Right now, as I write this, we’re DJ’ing a 4th of July wedding at the Double Tree – look for an update by this weekend. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Fritz!! Here’s a teaser from the reception!
 

We are excited to announce that ProVolve Entertainment will be the official in game announcer for the Lancaster Lightning Minor League Football team home games during the 2012 season.
 

Their first home game is in 10 days on Saturday June 23 at 7:00pm.

* Saturday was round two of weddings for us!

This time we were in York at the breath-taking Regents’ Glen for the joining of Lamanda (Ziegler) and Ryan Mills. The ceremony site was at one of the most amazing locations we’ve ever seen – the Box Hill Mansion, we were lucky to provide sound for this gorgeous ceremony. I took a cell phone pic but it doesn’t do justice to how incredible this place is.

After the ceremony, we headed up to the mansion for an outdoor cocktail hour. It was so hot. So. So. So. So. Hot. And that’s not just because of the music. Haha. After the ceremony and cocktail hour, everyone made the mile-long trek (via car/golf carts) to the reception site under a large tent.

The reception was a blast, to say the least. It was one of those wedding receptions where Mike and I + the guests had so much fun that we wished we could stay past the official end time. Little kids, adults, even grandparents were dancing like there was no tomorrow – and that’s the way it should be!

Lamanda and Ryan – thanks so much for the opportunity to provide the soundtrack to your big day and we wish you guys a lifetime of happiness! Enjoy your honeymoon!

We survived our Wedding Marathon Weekend! We’re off next weekend (no weddings, so we’re taking a weekend relaxation-break!). We’ll be back later this week with more blog posts and follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook!

The Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown was where they chose to have their wedding and reception. It’s an incredible 200+ acre horse farm, and although it was a really hot and humid day, by evening the sun cooled off and people were either dancing in the barn, or outside socializing next to the campfire. There was a lot of room to sprawl out and people were making smores, going on wagon rides, and of course, dancing.

The crowd really, really liked the older stuff. Sometimes younger people don’t like the older music but I started off with a classic set of some timeless dance tracks, and by the time we opened up with the newer songs, people were ready to get wild. It was extra funny to see Eric and his wife dancing about 10 feet away from me at all times – surreal in that I’m used to having him behind the table with me. My favorite moment of the evening was the crowd’s reaction to ‘Apache’ immediately after ‘Cha Cha Slide’… I think those songs go perfect together and apparently the crowd agreed!

One thing that I really wanted to do was give a plug for Brittany’s Hope Foundation – me making an announcement off a card was part of the deal, but the owners of the place never gave me any materials on it and by the end of the night it never really happened, but I wanted to take the time to personally endorse and recommend that you check out this incredible foundation. Eric and I personally know a member of the Abel family and have seen firsthand their devotion to making meaning within their mission.  From their website:
